Mission and Vision


PURPOSE

Discover a Community Where God’s Love Knows No Boundaries

Welcome to the Church of Light and Salt, where God has established His English Ministry by actively working in and through this multicultural Body of Christ to share the life-changing message of Jesus. 
We are more than just a place of worship; we are a Christ-centered community where everyone is invited to belong, grow, and serve.

Rooted in the gospel, we seek to unite all people with Jesus, our cornerstone, by dedicating ourselves to the Word, prayer and service. 
Through this devotion, we become vessels of His love and grace, allowing the fragrance of Christ to spread into every corner of our lives—transforming our homes, workplaces, and communities into mission fields.

In this diverse and welcoming ministry, we encourage a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ through daily devotion and prayer. 
Together, we intercede for our families, our neighborhoods, and the nations, trusting that God is using us to break down barriers and build bridges across cultures and generations.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our missional vision is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ in English to every person in the world and to make disciples of all the nations, 

and specifically to minister to persons within the Church of Light and Salt who speak English as a first language, English speaking spouses and children of members who speak Korean as a first language, 

and to any member or visitor of the church regardless of their first language who the Holy Spirit leads to attend an English language worship service.

VISION

Being fully committed to the proposition that Jesus Christ is the only hope for the world, and believing that every believer yearns for spiritual renewal and Christ-centered living, 

and recognizing Jesus’ instruction to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, we, the Church of Light and Salt - English Ministry, covenant with each other and all who are willing, under God:

To make the kingdom of God the priority in our personal lives.

To dedicate the energies and resources of the English Ministry in seeking first Jesus and His kingdom.

To cooperate with each other, the members and leadership of the Church of Light and Salt Korean Ministry, and the family of Southern Baptists as we pursue Christ-Centered Biblical kingdom principles and practices.

To give ourselves to servant leadership that will assist and facilitate faith development and maturity.

To pray for the lost to know Jesus, and for the saved to grow and mature in faith, to repent as led by God, and be in God’s will wherein He will forge a spiritual renewal marked by holy living, sacrificial service, and global witness.

To this end, we affirm the English Ministry will, in all things, seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

We value Born-Again Believers of all generations and embrace our responsibility to pass this charge to a rising generation in every age, faithful until Jesus comes.

We believe the local church is given the authority, power, and responsibility to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every person in the world.


KINGDOM

We join other Born-Again Believers for the Gospel, the Kingdom of Christ, and the glory of God.
